Audio Cues is a way to organise and access all your audio files in one place, should you want to play them manually throughout the show. They can also be organised by Scene, so they disappear from the list as Scenes complete.
This is often used for pre-recorded audio hints or sound effects that must be operated manually.
- Activation - go into Project Settings and click the checkbox to activate Audio Cues.
- N.B. if you de-activate Audio Cues, you will lose all your Audio Cues. If you do this accidentally, hit Undo. If you restart the project before you do this, the information will be lost.
- Adding - click add and choose from a dropdown of imported Media.
- Preview - to the right of the cue name, you can 'play' or 'stop' the audio. This will play on your chosen source (see Output below).
- Settings - click on the cue to access
- Name - enter a name for your cue in the field
- Options
- Clip - choose the audio file you want associated with this label
- Output - choose between your local computer or any Media Masters you have available (virtual or paired). You are able to preview sound from virtual Media Masters.
- Volume - the volume that the clip will play at between 0-100%
- Fade - choose a number of seconds the clip will fade in over
- Loop - choose if you want to loop the file or not upon playing
- All the above can be used during preview
- Scenes - if you check the box, you can add the Scenes which this Audio Cue will be available for
- This means that when your show is live, this clip will only be shown in the cue list when your chosen Scene or Scenes is/are active.
