In order to control OSC in COGS, you’ll first need to activate OSC within the Project Settings panel, this will then allow you to add destinations, and trigger events vis OSC from COGS or to COGS.

NOTE: You need a COGS Pro licence to send or receive any OSC messages.

MIDI is a messaging protocol that enables electronic instruments, computers, and devices to communicate with each other. It carries:

• 🎵 “Note” data — pitch, velocity, duration
• 🎚 Control signals — volume, panning, effects cues, sequences

In COGS, MIDI can be used to:

• Receive messages FROM external systems (e.g. MIDI Controllers, MIDI Interfaces) to trigger behaviours in COGS.
• Send MIDI messages TO those devices and systems (e.g. MIDI Controllers, MIDI Interfaces).

Enabling MIDI in COGS

1. Open Show Settings.
2. Scroll down and find the MIDI section.
3. Toggle it ON.
4. A new MIDI tab will appear in the sidebar.
