In COGS, you can preview any media assets that you’ve imported into your Media Panel.

To preview any audio files, you can press ▶️ to play, and ⏹️ to stop previewing them.
You can choose where to preview this media (whether on your PC for testing, or from any of your paired Media Masters). From here you can choose:
- Where to preview your Media (locally, or from a Media Master - simulator or physical)
- If set to Local, any previewed audio files will output locally from your PC speakers.
- If set to any of your project’s Media Masters, this media will display from this Media Master, whether just audio, or video/ image assets.

💡 Top tip:
- If you haven’t got any Media Masters physically connected, but you want to see how your Media will preview, you can simulate a Media Master, by going to your Media Master in the Connect view, and press the ⠇in the top right corner, and click Open Simulator.
- This will create a pop out window that will simulate a display connected to that Media Master for testing purposes.
- You can also choose to play audio from Media Masters which haven't been paired yet. These feature allows you to test your shows with audio programmed to come from multiple Media Masters from your computer
