Skipping a scene will manually move on from that scene and it will become greyed out.
It is especially useful if a sensor inside a prop becomes damaged and you need to move the show on as if the scene did complete naturally.
e.g If one reed switch out of 9 in a jigsaw is damaged then the scene would never move on unless it was skipped. The feature might offer you the possibility to keep material in your show rather than having to cut out the entire interaction.
Skipping the scene can also trigger a different outcome than the one that is triggered by letting it be completed naturally. This all depends on how your show has been programmed.
All scenes have the option to be skipped. You will find the skip button on the bottom right of each Scene.
The skip function has a safety on it - you need to unlock it then you can skip by clicking on it twice.

This is to prevent a scene skipping accidentally if a rogue click touched the skip button. It has a timeout function: if you do not press Skip after unlocking it will go back to being locked after 4 seconds.
