RFID Reader channels use radio frequency to identify unique tags.
The status of each reader channel interacting with your chosen combination of tags is used as part of your WHEN: States match… and **WHEN: When Value Changes…** conditions in Behaviours in order to trigger actions.
You need to give tags your own unique identification to use the reader channels. You can do this from the RFID Master Diagnostics - see Assigning RFID Items.
Adding
- In Channels click Add channel and select RFID Reader
- Enter a name that you would like to call it
- You will be presented with the channel view
Current Value
- Shows what tag is currently being read by the reader
- This value will show the current status of the virtual channel (when testing) or physical channel when patched to hardware.
Settings
- Tag removal debounce - This controls the amount of time in milliseconds that the tag will show as present in COGS after it has been read and then removed from the reader. It can be used to prevent quick on/off readings in COGS if a tag is just on the edge of the reader’s antenna field.
